Information

NODE.London [1] [Networked, Open, Distributed, Events. London] is committed to building the infrastructure and raising the visibility of media arts practice in London. Working on an open, collaborative basis, NODE.London will culminate, in its first year, in a month long season of media arts projects across London in March 2006.

Media Mutandis: a NODE.London Reader is a contemporary survey of critical engagement with art, technologies and politics. It provides a discursive context for the events of October 2005's Open Season and the NODE.London season of media arts in March 2006. Structured as an anthology, it includes essays from writers and practitioners such as Sabeth Buchmann, Simon Yuill, ambientTV, Michael Corris, Toni Prug, Adam Hyde, Kate Rich, Agnese Trocchi and Armin Medosch. It is available at a range of NODE.London public events throughout March, at many bookshops and libraries throughout the UK and as a POD through the website.

It is edited by Marina Vishmidt, a researcher and writer based in London, originally from New York. Her current interests extend to art and economy, conceptual art,  the subjective constitution of political activity, minor articulations in film and writing and materialist theory.
